Susan Douglas

From editing national newspapers in the mid market, to repositioning major local groups, to launching on-line sites, newsstand magazines, the contract magazine market and most recently, book publishing, Susan Douglas has an invaluable overview, proven commercial success and a global network of contacts. Most of all, she has perspective. From Assistant Editor at the Daily Mail (1988-1991), Susan Douglas went on to be the Deputy Editor at the Sunday Times (1991-1995), then one of the most senior roles held by a woman in newspapers. After a short period as Editor of the Sunday Express (1995-1996), Sue went on to work as Media Consultant before taking on the role as President of New Business at Conde Nast Publications Ltd (2001-2007). Since then Sue has taken on Media Consultancy roles for companies such as PFD literary agent and Harper Collins Publishers and set up her business Kontent in 2009 offering editorial content, stories, movies, digital content, book ideas and IP to brands. Clients include Diageo, Ideal Shopping TV, Future Publishing, Barefoot Children's digital publisher (US) and LUXE-TV.

Tony Kypreos

Tony is currently a Dealmaker with the UK's Global Entrepreneur Programme (GEP) and a Business Angel Investor. His role at the GEP follows a successful international career where he has held board and leadership positions in blue-chip multinational corporations in Technology, Media and Telecoms, and been a co-founder and hands-on investor of entrepreneurial start-up ventures in Internet, mobile services and digital media. In addition to his role on the GEP, he is an active board adviser and investor in a portfolio of ventures from mobile advertising & marketing, online publishing and nanotechnology. He is currently also on the judging panel of the Marketing Academy and is a founder investor and mentor on two seed-accelerator programs. Before joining the GEP, Tony was the Group Managing Director of Bauer Digital for the M&A; integration of EMAP PLC. Prior to this he was on the operational board of T-Mobile International as Group EVP Business Development & Innovation where he reported to the T-Mobile Group CEO. Whilst at T-Mobile, Tony also served on the advisory board for Deutsche Telekom's VC arm, T-Ventures. Tony also has digital media agency expertise as the VP Strategic Services at Omnicom Group's Agency.com specializing in multiple digital channels. His mobile and digital experience is reinforced with his passion for consumers and brands gained from 9 years in consumer goods marketing roles at Nestle SA and Diageo Plc. Tony holds a BSc (Hon) in Physics & Electronic Systems, Brunel University (sponsored by British Telecom) and an MBA from Henley Business School majoring in corporate venturing and innovation.
